Kelly Floyd

PAST VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE: Kelly Floyd played volleyball for six years in Randleman NC. She was a varsity player all four years at Randleman High School and was a part of all-county my senior year. Floyd received a scholarship to play at Pfeiffer University but unfortunately had to turn it down because she has had four knee surgeries. 

MOST MEMORABLE VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE: Floyd’s most memorable volleyball experience was her senior year when her team was playing their rival school, and she had eight blocks and thirteen kills. “It was the best feeling to beat our rivals.”

COACHING ACCREDITATION: She is Impact certified and also certified in Heat-Wise, Cardiac- Wise, Safe Sport, and CDC Heads Up Concussion training.

COACHING EXPERIENCE: Floyd is starting her second year with NC Power. She also coaches volleyball at Ragsdale High School, and she has helped coach volleyball camps and spent last season with Randleman High School coaching softball.

COACHING PHILOSOPHY:  “My coaching philosophy is simple. I want to have an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop on and off the court. I want to teach my athletes sportsmanship and how to have fun and love the game.”
